Nurse Betty BScN (cand): Now I've heard everything

Nurse Betty BScN (cand)

I am a 36 year old mother of 2. I entered university in 2005 for the BScN program but had no idea what a roller coaster ride it would be. My other interests are boating, cottaging, gardening, sitting, doing nothing, vegging and of course hard core belly button contemplating.

Now I've heard everything

Last week there was a news report where a judge didn't sentance a man to jail time because he was short, this week there is a trial going on where a man who murdered his wife is asking for the state to pay for gender reassignment surgery. The state had already paid for psychological therapy as well as female hormones and lasar hair removal. COME ON!!! Is this for real? I want a boob lift, my thighs sucked and I'm kinda tired of shaving my legs too. So should I go knock off a convenience store and say I did it because I felt badly about my fat ass? And that the province should pay for it, not to mention those who I victimize? I don't lack compassion, I have a great deal of compassion, it is just compassion for the poor woman he murdered and her family. I do have great compassion for individuals with gender identity disorder but I agree with the judge that if this man is granted surgery and tries to return to the male prison then he will surely be killed either that or very popular, and on the other side of the coin if they were to transfer him to a female prison by merit of his new gender then I think the female prison population could be at risk. That judge is in a pickle and I hope the lord is able to guide him to the best decision.
Thanks for reading.
p.s., I am playing hookey from school today. I just can't bring myself to go and listen to that man talk about how I am jealous of my neighbour and that's why I go and buy stuff, and then the media is hiding it all.

My word! Can you believe the nerve of some people??? I really don't pay attention to the news anymore because it is usually filled with such sad, negative, or unbelievable news. Seriously, the ONLY reason I awoke early to watch the news was to see if the morning anchor was really pregnant again! Isn't that crazy! Our news repeats the same thing over and over until something new pops up.
And regarding your tattoo dilemma...I say do it! Don't deprive yourself over something you really want. I wanted one too, but then decided against it. I think the dragonfly is really pretty.
Have a great day!

I often wonder if these people wake up in the morning and say "hmmm what can I do to truly test the world today?" On what planet does a criminal deserve such treatment?
The thing is that these therapies are over and above what it costs the state to house and keep this person and at the end of the day, the woman that he killed is still missed at any future family reunions.

I loved this. My husband actually works for a federal prison, and he said there are "girls" (he/shes) there, so it's not always much better here in the US. They had a prisoner who sued for a delay in his execution because he needed a new prosthetic leg that makes it easier to walk on. He reasoned that he came into prison with two legs, and he should be able to go out with two legs. DENIED!! The answer to the pet question is I have six cats and 2-3 dogs (my son's dog is with us about half of the time). In my defense, I used to have 2 cats and one dog, but as a volunteer for an animal rescue group in Texas, we fostered the other cats and dog. I took them so adoption fairs for a year, but since they weren't babies, or purebred, no one wanted them. When we found out we were moving here, there wasn't a foster home to place them in, so we sucked it up and adopted the whole group.

I love that. I am a huge pet lover, which explains the fact that I spent $133 for pills for the Half Dead Wonder Dog today
