Nurse Betty BScN (cand): It's a major award part 2

Nurse Betty BScN (cand)

I am a 36 year old mother of 2. I entered university in 2005 for the BScN program but had no idea what a roller coaster ride it would be. My other interests are boating, cottaging, gardening, sitting, doing nothing, vegging and of course hard core belly button contemplating.

It's a major award part 2

So, tonight was the awards ceremony. I was granted Faculty of Nursing Leadership award. I was pretty proud because of all the recipients I was the only one who isn't on any of the school organizations. At the beginning of the school year all of the school groups canvas heavily to get you to join their organization, there is a group for just about every single thing imaginable, but I chose not to join anything. I just don't have the time, I barely have the time to feed the Anchors and do my reading, I couldn't possibly imagine giving a bunch of time to organize pub crawls (I don't mean that to say that that is all these organizations do, I know that many of them do a great many things to advocate for the student). So anyways, yeah, as I was saying, I went down the list of the recipients for the other awards and a great many of them belonged to something. So what I am saying is that I am pretty darn proud of being honoured for being a plain old student who shows up.
Other good thing was that Boy Anchor finally won a lacrosse game tonight too. The Husband and he were able to stay and see me get my award and then the scooted off to play. Girl Anchor stayed with me, she was so sweet, it was really boring (for a 10 year old, I personally loved it), but she stayed there the whole time attentively listening and clapping for all the recipients.
Bad thing was that The Husband decided to pick a quarrel in the restaurant after. What a way to spoil a great evening. So he is in the dog house as far as I am concerned. Other bad thing is that I wore dress shoes and now have hamburger feet, just as they were healing from the wedding 2 weeks ago.
The award ceremony got me jazzed for year 2. I can't hardly wait until September. I am so excited to become a nurse but I still have 3 long years, but at least in September I will be in the hospital twice per week.
Thanks for reading. Back to the essays. Hope to have them both finished this weekend. Can't see it though.
